Pros and cons of Catch The Bus: Bus Tracker app for iPhone and iPad

Catch The Bus: Bus Tracker app good for

The app itself cant stop busses from being stopped behind garbage trucks or at rotating red lights. It only says how far away the bus is under normal circumstances. And its great at that. If you be reasonable about it, it should work for you too! This app has been a lifesaver for me. Minus one star because sometimes it doesnt show busses scheduled to come up if their GPS isnt turned on. But, that might be a bus GPS problem. I would also appreciate if a full schedule was available on the app so I could see it at a quick glance.
The app has saved me so much time and prevents me from waiting on a regular basis. I now always check the status before walking over to a stop.
Yeah every now and again the app messes up due to busses standing by but the fact is knowing when the busses are coming and going is absolutely awesome! And this is the best app in Boston hands down!
Had some trepidation about choosing which app to use for timing my MBTA bus commute. Chose this one on a whim and have found it completely accurate to the minute. I have an iPhone-5 and ride the 43 bus from the South End to Downtown.
I have been using this app for my daily commute on crosstown buses and its predictions are good. Note that you should always leave extra time for traffic if using during rush hours, since the app cant predict heavy traffic or lots of passengers holding a bus up. Regardless, the GPS map is very helpful in tracking bus movements in real time. Bottom line: use some common sense and this app will serve you just fine.
But has some bugs on 88 route for MBTA. Exactly on 11-12.It has the most pathetically wrong timing at that particular time. Most part its really better than decent app.

Some bad moments

I shouldnt have downloaded this !!! I live in upstate NEW YORK . No assistance whatsoever
This does not have accurate information. Dont waste your time.
Ive had this for about 2 weeks and its already been entirely wrong 3 or 4 times, terrible, terrible app
This app works fine inbound to Boston in the mornings but is completely unreliable at night because the dispatcher redirects buses as he sees fit. May as well save the phones battery and just wait outside when going home.
Used to work perfectly. No I have missed buses a few times due to its inaccuracy. I have reported this, but it is still not working correctly. Find a better app like I am going to.
I had high hopes for this app but its predicted arrival times are persistently inaccurate and unreliable, at least on bus routes 92 and 93. Im sure the problem somehow stems from the MBTA.
